In 2009, Giti Tire contributed Rmb 1 million to the “Gift of Sight” Charity Program organized by the China Disabled Persons Federation to enable impoverished patients to receive free operation and regain a new lease in life.
With additional support from the local government of Huanggang City and Zhanjiang City, 2857 patients received corrective surgery.
Shanghai School for the Blind Elementary School Chorus performed Shanghai Nursery Rhyme Cai Dong Cai on the stage.

In May 2010, Giti Tire collaborated with its network of valued suppliers to further raise funds at the “2010 World Expo: Life. Sunshine. Three on the Bund Gala Dinner.” At the Event, Giti Tire pledged Rmb 5 million whilst the valued suppliers collectively pledged another Rmb 9 million, which means in the near future, 14,000 impoverished patients, will have the chance to regain their sight.

Whilst we are all happy and thankful to have raised this amount of funds, we do hope that there will be more charitable individuals and corporations joining us, to bring Hope, Life, Sunshine and a Gift of Sight for the impoverished sufferers.
