{"id":423,"date":"2013-04-23T17:27:49","date_gmt":"2013-04-23T17:27:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webhedzwordpress.com\/GT\/?p=423"},"modified":"2013-04-23T17:27:49","modified_gmt":"2013-04-23T17:27:49","slug":"drifting-competitor-tyler-wolfson-looking-for-more-success-on-gt-radial-tires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gtradial.ca\/\/\/fr\/2013\/04\/23\/drifting-competitor-tyler-wolfson-looking-for-more-success-on-gt-radial-tires\/","title":{"rendered":"Drifting Competitor Tyler Wolfson Looking for More Success on GT Radial Tires"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Drifter Tyler Wolfson of San Diego made quite a splash last year in his first year driving on GT Radial tires.<\/p>\n<p>He scored four podium finishes out of his first six Pro-Am events on GT Radial\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gtradial-us.com\/en\/product-details.asp?mastertireid=IndonesiaPattern000029\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Champiro HPY<\/a>\u00a0tires and then capped the year with the championship at Thunder Drift RD 4.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Wolfson is moving up to compete in the Xtreme Drift Circuit Series. \u201cWe are really excited because this means not only competing with better drivers in faster cars, but also we get to travel the whole country skidding the Mazda on our GT Radial tires,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Team Wolfson has been making some changes to their Mazda RX-7 in preparation for the Xtreme Drift competition. \u201cPrepping the car for 2013 is all about refinement for us. We believe we ended 2012 in a really good place, and we want to build off of that,\u201d Wolfson explained. \u201cOur first focus has been on making small adjustments to the suspension and alignment settings to try and gain more mid-drift grip so we can pull away from our competitors. We also have a few tricks and new pieces that are going on the car to increase horsepower.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wolfson added, \u201cAs far as our tires are concerned, we&#8217;re in great shape! As a driver, it is extremely hard to find performance without sacrificing something, but my GT Radial tires seem to be the exception to that rule.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-424 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/gtradial.ca\/\/\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/global_201342319442634-300x197.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"197\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gtradial.ca\/\/\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/global_201342319442634-300x197.jpg 300w, https:\/\/gtradial.ca\/\/\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/global_201342319442634.jpg 326w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Wolfson will be competing in these Xtreme Drift Circuit events:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 May 19 &#8212; Central Florida Racing Complex, Orlando, FL<br \/>\n\u2022 Aug. 4 &#8212; New Hampshire Motor Speedway<br \/>\n\u2022 Oct. 19 &#8212; Auto Club Speedway, Fontana, CA<br \/>\n\u2022 Nov. 23&#8211; Atlanta Motor Speedway<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s filling out his 2013 schedule with other exciting events as well, so stay tuned.
