GT Radial Motorsports Website Launched to Connect With Fans

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (June 5, 2015) – Giti Tire (USA) Ltd. has launched a new website – www.gtradical.com
– to provide auto and motorsports enthusiasts an inside look into the GT Radial teams competing in Formula DRIFT, as well as brand ambassadors who are taking “weekend warrior” to a whole new level on GT Radial tires.

Formula DRIFT fans will get the inside scoop from GT Radial drivers Conrad Grunewald, Kyle Mohan, and Chelsea DeNofa on how their teams are preparing for the next round of competition, the hectic pace of Formula DRIFT weekends, and post-competition analysis. A gallery of action photos and videos shared by the drivers, like DeNofa’s popular “Say Howdy” video series, help bring the action to life for motorsports fans. Visitors are encouraged to join the GT Radial and drivers’ social media sites to share their thoughts.

“This new website is designed to connect GT Radial with enthusiasts by allowing them to get up close and personal with the professionals competing on our Champiro SX2 tires in Formula DRIFT, as well as with fellow enthusiasts who share their passion for driving in amateur competitions on paved and off the road courses,” said Mike Meeiem, motorsports marketing manager, Giti Tire (USA), Ltd.

GT Radial is actively supporting enthusiasts at the grassroots level. The website includes details on GT Radial contingency programs for those competing in club events with SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) and NASA (National Auto Sport Association). Enthusiasts can also learn how they can obtain special pricing on tires and other benefits when they qualify as a GT Radial Brand Ambassador.

The GT Radial brand entered its second year of competition in Formula DRIFT with three veteran drivers, looking to build on momentum established in its inaugural year of competing in North America’s professional drifting championship.

GT Radial captured its first Formula DRIFT win in April when Grunewald and his Always Evolving/Replay Camera Chevrolet Camaro outmatched Robbie Nishida and his Lexus SC300 in thrilling competition under the lights on the streets of Long Beach in the KMC Super Drift Challenge.

All three GT Radial drivers qualified in Formula DRIFT Round 1 in Long Beach and Round 2 at Road Atlanta. The drivers have also notched two top 16 finishes so far in 2015 – DeNofa in Round 1 and Grunewald in Round 2.
Mohan, now in his 10th Formula DRIFT season and driving on GT Radial tires for the second year, qualified for each round of competition in the 2014 Formula DRIFT season and advanced to the top 16 on three occasions in the No. 99 GT Radial/Mazdatrix Mazda RX-8.

As is the case with Grunewald, DeNofa, a six-year veteran in Formula DRIFT, is competing for the first time on GT Radial tires. He drives a turbocharged inline six cylinder BMW 3-series and is widely regarded as a fan favorite among the drifting crowd.
